These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Always Toward LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of Always Toward. They govern your use of the Always Toward app and related services (the “Service”).
By creating an account or using Always Toward, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Always Toward.
By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to agree to these Terms.
Your Account
You need an account to use Always Toward.
Provide accurate information, keep your email address current and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact support@alwaystowardapp.com.
Acceptable Use
Use Always Toward only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
Do not:
Break the law or infringe the rights of others.
Try to access other people’s accounts or data.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or its systems.
Copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows.
Use automated means to access the Service, or misuse its AI features.
Send abusive, harassing or unlawful content through support messages.
Your Content
Your journal entries, prayers, notes, moods, profile information and other content you create (“Your Content”) belong to you.
You give us permission to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you, including sending it to our service providers, such as OpenAI for Premium AI features, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Content. Please do not rely on Always Toward as your only copy of important information.
Where available, you can export supported personal data through the app’s data export feature.
AI-Generated Content
Premium features may use artificial intelligence, provided by OpenAI, to generate religious passage recommendations and explanations, reflection questions, prayers, religious text explanations and daily inspirational content.
AI-generated content is produced automatically and may contain errors, omissions or information that is incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your circumstances. It does not constitute authoritative religious guidance and should not be treated as a definitive interpretation of Islam or a substitute for consulting qualified religious scholars or trusted religious authorities.
AI-generated content is not a substitute for professional advice, including medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away. In the United States, you can call or text 988.
Religious and Other Content
Religious texts, passages, translations, interpretations and other third-party content made available through Always Toward may be subject to the rights and terms of their respective owners or providers.
Translations and explanations may differ, and interpretations of religious texts may vary. You are responsible for evaluating the content and determining whether it meets your needs.
Premium and Subscriptions
Some features require a Premium subscription.
Subscriptions may be offered as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Available purchase options depend on the platform and products offered.
Prices, billing periods and any free trial are shown before you buy.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before the renewal date, according to the applicable App Store or Google Play rules.
A free trial, when offered and accepted, may become a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Trial availability and eligibility are determined by the applicable store and subscription terms.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, as applicable. The Manage Subscription option in the app, where available, opens the relevant subscription settings.
We cannot cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription for you.
If you reinstall the app or use a new device, use Restore Purchases, where available, to restore an eligible active subscription purchased with the same App Store or Google Play account.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their applicable refund policies. We do not directly process store payments or issue store refunds.
Deleting your Always Toward account does not necessarily cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel your subscription in the applicable store account settings to stop future charges.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account through the account deletion options made available in the app.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you delete your account, including information that may remain in backups or be retained where required by law.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service, our rights or other users.
You may stop using the Service at any time.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, text (excluding Your Content and third-party materials), graphics, logos and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by applicable law.
Always Toward, its name and its logo are owned by us or used under appropriate authorization, as applicable.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services, including Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple and Google.
Their own terms and policies apply to their services, and we are not responsible for services operated by third parties.
Your use of the app is also subject to the applicable terms of the App Store or Google Play from which you downloaded it.
Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and, except where required by applicable law or their own terms, are not responsible for the Service or its support.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any content, including AI-generated content, will be accurate, complete or suitable for your needs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to the Service
We may add, change or remove features, or suspend or discontinue the Service, subject to applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by other reasonable means.
If you continue to use the Service after revised Terms take effect, your continued use will be subject to the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
